Search Engine Optimisation

Getting your site seen in a competitive online marketplace

Keyword research, link building, competitor analysis, Google local business listing

If your website isn't visible in Google searches it won't matter how good it looks, potential customers simply won’t be able to find you.

SEO is the process of making a website more visible in Google searches, and more interesting and engaging to the visitors who come to it from a Google search, so that visits are more likely to be converted into sales and other conversions. Google accounts for 92% of all search engine traffic worldwide, so it's never been more important to make sure your site is optimised the right way. I can guide you through how best to structure and populate your site right from the start - punchy, interesting and useful site content, the best keywords to be picked up in Google searches and how to avoid the mistakes your competitors are making.

Pricing

SEO tends to be an ongoing and mercurial process (a top search ranking can quickly be lost to competitors if it is not actively promoted and maintained), so rather than offer fixed price packages, I offer my SEO services at an hourly rate of £30-50ph for however many hours a week or month a client feels able to invest in their search ranking (the hourly rate depends on the complexity of the work involved). This puts my clients firmly in the driving seat and avoids them spending money they don't need to.

How It Works

This is the process I follow to create a sustained and effective SEO campaign for your website…

  1. Client Briefing

My first priority is to make sure I have a clear idea of your goals, your budget, and your expectations. I do this via an initial project briefing (either in person or by phone), which will give me the information I need to create a tailored SEO strategy for you.

  2. Review, Report & Recommend

I review your site (if you already have one) to identify any issues which might be affecting your site's search performance, and to see how it can be better targeted. I then report back to you with recommendations for the best SEO strategy for your website.

  3. Optimisation

I carry out a one-off or repeated monthly cycle of optimisation for your website:

    Technical Issues

I eliminate any technical issues which might be affecting your site's performance, speed and search ranking.

    Keyword Research

I identify the best keywords and phrases that are most likely to be searched for by your target audience in Google searches. I then incorporate them into your site content.

    Competitor Analysis

I identify your main competitors both online and in the real world and find out what they're up to in order to get a better idea of how your site needs to be optimised in order to beat them in the search rankings.

    Content Optimisation

I seed your pages with your keywords and phrases and streamline and target your site content section by section. Specialised landing pages can be added to your site to improve your site's visibility. I install Google Analytics on your site and use the data it provides.

    Link Generation

I look into increasing the number of internal and external links your site has – links are a big factor in improving a website’s search ranking.

  4. Report & Repeat

I report back to you on either a weekly or monthly basis with an itemised list of the work I have completed alongside a summary of your site's SEO performance, so you can see the effect my tailored SEO programme is having on your site. You are free to reduce or increase your budget (number of hours weekly or monthly) at any time.
